HI, I'M BARBIE

I knew from a young age that my mother's ability to create incredible dishes was a God-given talent.

And I've been blessed with the ability to pass down her legacy through sharing her recipes with the community.

OUR STORY

 

Matthew and I have been together for over a decade.

Two strong personalities, passionate opinions regarding business, and a profound love for God lead us to where we are today.

 

Matthew encouraged me to become my own entrepreneur for as long as I have known him, but I didn't believe in myself at the moment as much as he believed in me. 

Not until my office job left me mentally crippled, unhappy, and forced me into a corner to either create my own path or continue spiraling.

 We opened our first food truck in August of 2023 with no experience, lots of faith, and the community rallied for us.

And the story continues to flourish into a brick-and-mortar a year later and big plans for our future! 

WHY DO I WANT TO TEACH WHAT I KNOW?

 

 I started Basquenese with nothing but a dream and a love for bold flavors. Over time, I’ve faced the struggles every entrepreneur knows—long hours, tight budgets, and learning everything the hard way. But through that journey, I built a thriving brand that people love.

 

Now, I want to share those lessons with you. Basquenese Academy is my way of helping dreamers become doers—showing you that with the right mindset, strategies, and a little creativity, you can build a business that feeds your soul and your bank account. If I can do it, so can you.
